Founded by two anglers who never stopped chasing what's out there.
Gary "Hodgey" Hodge and Mark Switzer have been on the water since they could hold a rod. Based out of Port Whitby Marina, they fish year-round — walleye, perch, bass, whatever's biting. But when summer rolls in, there's only one thing on their minds: Lake Ontario Kings.
A Tyee is a Chinook over 30 pounds. That's what they chase. That obsession brought them together, and it's what led them to build Tyee Nation — a community for anglers who understand what it means to be out before dawn, rod bent, drag screaming.
This year, they're putting it all on the line with the inaugural Tyee Takedown Salmon Shootout. One day. One lake. The biggest fish wins.
